UNLV FOOTBALL: 2013 PRE-SEASON REPORT CARD

COACHING

Head Coach
Current Tenure as Head Coach at UNLV: Bobby Hauck is in his fourth season as the Head Coach at UNLV.  Hauck has an overall record of 6-32 (15.8% wins) as the Head Coach at UNLV.  Hauck is also the Special Teams Coordinator at UNLV.

Last Coaching Position: Head Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Montana (FCS) (2003-2009)

Prior Experience as Head Coach: Montana (FCS) (2003-2009).

Other Notable Facts: Hauck was an extremely successful Head Coach at Montana (overall record of 80-17 (82.4% wins))(Big Sky Coach of the Year in 2006, 2007, and 2009)(7 Big Sky Conference Championships  / Co-Championships), but is “on the hot seat” at UNLV

Offensive Coordinator
Current Tenure as Offensive Coordinator at UNLV: Timm Rosenbach is in his first season at the Offensive Coordinator at UNLV.  Rosenbach is also the Quarterbacks Coach at UNLV.  Rosenbach is facing the challenge of improving a UNLV offense that was ranked #88 in the nation for total offense last season.

Last Coaching Position: Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Montana (FCS) (2012)

Prior Experience as Offensive Coordinator: Montana (FCS) (2012), New Mexico State (2009), and Eastern Washington (FCS) (2001-2002)

Other Notable Facts: While Rosenbach was Offensive Coordinator at Montana in 2012, the Montana offense was #14 in the FCS for total offense.  Rosenbach was a highly successful quarterback at Washington State.  Rosenbach was a first round pick in the 1989 supplemental NFL draft, but his pro career only lasted 3 seasons due to injury.

Defensive Coordinator
Current Tenure as Defensive Coordinator at UNLV: Tim Hauck is in his first season as the Defensive Coordinator at UNLV.  Hauck is also the Cornerbacks Coach at UNLV.  Hauck is facing the challenge of improving a UNLV defense that was ranked #98 in the nation for total defense last season.

Last Coaching Position: Defensive Backs Coach for Cleveland Browns (NFL) (2012)

Prior Experience as Defensive Coordinator: None

Other Notable Facts: Tim Hauck is the younger brother of Head Coach Bobby Hauck.  Most of Hauck’s coaching experience is in the defensive secondary.  Hauck was twice selected as a 1st Team All-American Safety at Montana (FCS) and twice selected as the Defensive MVP of the Big Sky Conference.  Hauck played safety in the NFL for 13 seasons.
